Boys Basketball Scores
Regular Season Games:
- Chaffee 48, St. Vincent 46:
Chaffee has a nice mix of young talent on the boys and girls side this year, as Coach Josh Govreau’s squad continues to pick up wins early in the season. - Kennett 71, New Madrid County Central 61:
Kennett has wins over Charleston and New Madrid already this season. Not a bad start for Coach Seth McBroom and the Indians. - South Pemiscot 61, Riverside (AR) 60:
A thrilling one-point victory for South Pemiscot as they held on in the final moments over legendary Coach Buster Campbell, who has over 900 career wins. - Bell City 53, Leopold 46 (OT):
Bell City emerged victorious in overtime, showing grit and determination to outlast Leopold. Two notes about this game. One, the Cubs have scuffled since winning the Oran Tournament. They haven’t found that same level of play since. And two, watch out for Leopold in the next few years. They have some of the best young players of any small school in Southeast Missouri, and Coach Jimmy Lincoln already has these kids playing hard. - Delta 74, Meadow Heights 65:
Delta’s offense clicked again, with a balanced attack leading the Bobcats to another win. Sitting at 4-1, Coach Toby Heeb’s squad has already outplayed their 14th seed at the upcoming SEMO Christmas Tournament. - Central (Park Hills) 52, DeSoto 48:
Park Hills used a late surge to secure a close victory over DeSoto. - Charleston 88, Malden 38:
Charleston dominated from start to finish, cruising past Malden in a statement win. If Charleston can stay healthy and get all the pieces in place, by the end of this season, they are going to be a nightmare for Class 2 teams. - Scott City 87, Kelly 47:
Scott City extended their unbeaten streak, dismantling Kelly with a powerful offensive display. Coach Mark Dannenmueller’s Rams are quickly establishing themselves as one of the top teams in the area. - Woodland 56, Bernie 41:
The Cardinals poured it on in the second half, outscoring Bernie by 16 points to secure the win. That Class 3 District 2 is shaping up to be a good one, with Woodland and Scott City both having standout seasons. - South Iron 65, Arcadia Valley 38:
South Iron showed why they’re a perennial powerhouse. Coach Dusty Dinkins’ Panthers just keep rolling. - Ste. Genevieve 70, Jefferson 45:
Ste. Genevieve controlled this one from the start, rolling to a decisive win over Jefferson. - Jackson 62, Dexter 46:
Jackson’s balanced attack helped them pull away from Dexter in the second half. Kole Deck put on a show for the Indians. - Hayti 79, Twin Rivers 63:
Hayti’s high-powered offense was too much for Twin Rivers, led by a standout performance from J’Vonta Payne.
Tournament Games:
Clarkton Christmas Tournament:
- Portageville 57, Greenville 56:
In a game that came down to the wire, Portageville edged out Greenville by a single point. - East Carter 96, North Pemiscot 20:
East Carter dominated from the opening tip, leaving no doubt in a lopsided victory. - Doniphan 72, Clarkton 56:
Doniphan used a strong second half to put away Clarkton and advance in the tournament.
Liberty Invitational Tournament:
- Hartville 58, Neelyville 31:
Hartville’s defensive pressure stifled Neelyville. Hartville, a team from outside the SEMO area, is once again a Class 2 State Title contender.
Senath-Hornersville Christmas Tournament:
- Campbell 72, Piggott (AR) 40:
Top-seeded Campbell rolled past Piggott with a dominant offensive performance. - Gideon 69, Cooter 66:
Gideon pulled out a thrilling three-point victory in a hard-fought contest.
